Professional Distribution Boards in Greater Manchester

Small businesses, workshops and light industrial units rely on a distribution board that can safely handle the loads of the equipment they run day to day. Older boards with ceramic fuses, overloaded ways or no RCD protection are common in premises that have been refitted or changed use over the years. We replace them with modern, correctly rated distribution boards designed for the equipment you actually run.

As NAPIT registered electricians, we design, install and test the new distribution in full compliance with BS 7671. We assess the load, confirm the supply capacity, plan the circuit separation, and make sure every outgoing way is labelled, protected and earthed. Where a new distribution circuit is installed, the work is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations and we certify it ourselves.

When the installation is complete, you receive an Electrical Installation Certificate from us and a Building Regulations compliance certificate sent by NAPIT. Your new distribution board is properly documented for your insurers, landlord and building records.

  • The board is overloaded, has no spare ways or lacks RCD protection
  • Your insurer, landlord or licensing authority requires up-to-date certification
  • You are carrying out a refit, change of use or fit-out of a commercial or industrial unit
Pricing

What Affects the Price

We give you a clear price before any work starts. These are the main factors that shape the quote.

1

Single-phase versus three-phase supply and the rating of the incoming service

2

Number of outgoing circuits and ways required on the new distribution board

3

Whether the existing cabling and earthing arrangement needs remedial work

4

Requirement for surge protection and individual circuit RCBO protection

5

Access to the board location and whether work must be phased around trading hours
